Public Health Assessment
Activity in Fiscal Year 2002
One fourth of the sites assessed in public health
assessments in fiscal year 2002 were manufac-
turing or industrial sites. Mining industry sites
made up 17% of the sites where public health
assessments were conducted, and waste storage
and government-owned sites accounted for 16%
each. (See Table 1.)
